Centreville Day School (CDS) is a program at Centreville UMC and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Each year, our school enrolls 250 children, ages 2 ½ to 6 years old in part-time, half-day sessions. It is a non-profit, child-centered, Christian learning environment designed to foster a child's cognitive, spiritual, social, and physical growth. Each day the children experience a variety of planned activities including music, finger plays, crafts, activity records, stories, snacks, and lots of free play both indoors and outdoors. We hope that they will make friends, and learn to listen, follow directions, share, cooperate, and learn to function as part of a group.

Our school year runs from September through May.  To receive more information about our school program, please contact the CDS Director, Laurie Dzierzynski, at 571-522-1875 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Virginia State Law Proof of Age and Identity

Section 63.1-196.002 of the Code of Virginia (House Bill 946-1998) requires all licensed Child Day Centers (which includes Centreville Day School) to view proof of the child’s age and identity. The purpose of this bill is to help identify missing children in regulated child day programs. If such proof is not received upon attendance, we are required to notify law enforcement authorities.  Examples of acceptable proof are: the original birth certificate, a birth registration card, hospital notification of birth, a passport, or an entrustment agreement conferring legal custody.  Copies are not acceptable. It is important for you to know that CDS does not keep this record on file. A CDS employee must witness it with you present. Please contact the CDS office to make arrangements to present your proof (if you have not already done so) by calling 571.522.1875.
